Tides will be higher than normal this week and minor flooding may occur along the Los Angeles coastline, but weather forecasters said damage is not expected to be severe. “Things look pretty innocuous at the present time,” said National Weather Service meteorologist Mark McKinley. The California Highway Patrol closed a portion of the Pacific Coast Highway because of high tides earlier this month.
