DAVELUYVILLE, Canada — Six elderly people were stabbed, two of them fatally, by a hooded man who broke into a senior citizens home and then escaped, police said Saturday.
The man, who wore a ski mask and carried a knife, broke into the senior citizens’ home through a basement window Friday night and was probably surprised by a group of seniors, according to Pierre Lemarbre, a Quebec provincial police spokesman.
Two elderly women died in the attack and two of the four others injured were in critical condition, Lemarbre said.
Police did not release the names of the women who had been killed or the three women and one man injured by the hooded assailant.
