Watt to Build 224 Houses in Phoenix Area

Watt Community Builders, Palm Springs, is expected to break ground later this month on a 224-unit single-family home community on 40 acres at Ventana Lakes near Phoenix.
The firm, the newest development division of Watt Industries Inc., Santa Monica, said that the land north of Phoenix in the Peoria area is valued at $26 million.
Developed by the same firm that built the $200-million Desert Princess Country Club and Resort near Palm Springs, the project is Watt’s first in a decade outside California, according to Robert L. Pippin, president of Watt Community Builders.
