Bank Held Up: A man pretending to have a weapon held up the Security Pacific National Bank branch at 5812 Edinger Ave. on Wednesday, escaping with $780, police said. The robbery took place just before 2 p.m., when a clean-shaven man wearing a tan, floppy-brimmed hat handed the teller a note demanding money, according to Lt. Patrick Gildea. The man was described as being in his 30s, about 5 feet, 10 inches tall, 160 pounds, wearing a light blue and cream plaid short-sleeved shirt and tan pants. No weapon was displayed and there were no injuries.
