MacLean Breaks Simi Valley Career Scoring Record

Don MacLean broke the Simi Valley High career scoring record as the host Pioneers clinched the Marmonte League title Wednesday night with an 89-49 win over Camarillo.
MacLean, who finished with 24 points, broke Scott Simcik’s record of 1,182 (set in 1976-78) by sinking a free throw in the second half for his 22nd point. MacLean, a junior, has 1,185 points.
Shawn DeLaittre had 16 points for Simi Valley (22-1, 10-0), ranked No. 1 in The Times Valley-area poll.
