BURNED UP

A special birthday evening of dinner and theater at the Music Center is to anticipate a pleasurable evening, right? Even at the cost of $100 for two.
What is it with the Mark Taper Forum’s “experimental theater” that it offers a depraved, debasing, degrading, nauseating and repulsive play with a constant repetitive dialogue in the first act of the most offensive of four-letter words?
No theme, no story, only wild flamboyant, swash-buckling, filthy, noisy histrionics! Pitiful acting, but how else could it be with this sick script?
We and our friends, 30-year supporters of the Music Center Unified Fund, both in service and financially, can scarely believe that any part of our donations could be a part of support for “Burn This.”
If so, we are burned up! Gary Franklin’s rating of 9-plus on this indicates that he is sick. We are cutting him off from our radio and TV.
“Burn This”: Burn it!
