LONDON — Atty. Gen. Sir Michael Havers, Britain’s chief law officer for the last eight years, is taking a temporary break from his duties so he can rest, his office said.
Havers, 63, underwent a heart bypass operation in October, 1985. He complained that he has not been sleeping and said his doctors told him to avoid stress.
