A Chatsworth man was being held without bail Sunday after a quarrel about his estranged wife resulted in the shooting death of another man, the Los Angeles Police Department reported.
Gayle L. Steele, 35, was arrested on suspicion of murder, Officer Richard Gray said. The victim’s name was withheld pending notification of relatives, he said.
The shooting occurred at 5:45 a.m. Saturday in the 20200 block of Cohasset Street in Canoga Park, Gray said.
During an argument, Steele pulled out a handgun and shot the victim several times in the upper torso, Gray said. The man was pronounced dead at the scene, he said.
