UCI Women Defeat Fresno State in Tennis

The UC Irvine women’s tennis team split six singles matches but swept all three doubles to defeat Fresno State, 6-3, Sunday in women’s nonconference tennis action at Fresno.
The No. 1 doubles team of Stephanie Rhorer and Dina Trenwith defeated Julie Fraser and Jenny Davies, 6-4, 6-3, and Kathy Rose and Uma Rao defeated Rene Tatham and Renada Arnold, 7-6, 6-2, to clinch the team match.
Debbie Strombeck and Carol Northrup defeated Tera Goen and Stephanie Richards, 5-7, 6-3, 6-0.
