Jim Difilippo of Troy High School has made a verbal commitment to attend California next fall.
Difilippo, 6-feet 4-inches and 260 pounds, was a Times’ All-County offensive tackle last fall but is expected to play offensive guard at Cal. He will join Troy teammate Mike Pawlawski, who has already committed to California.
Difilippo, who said he plans to major in business, made trips to the universities of Utah and Oregon and canceled trips to Arizona and Iowa.
