Ramirez, Dedrick Lead OCC to Victory

Orange Coast College defeated Cypress, 3-2, late Sunday to win the College of the Desert baseball tournament championship at Palm Desert.
Orange Coast pitcher Jim Dedrick had nine strikeouts to get the victory.
Pirate third baseman Ralph Ramirez, named the tournament’s most valuable player, played excellent defense and drove in seven runs in the tournament.
