Olympic champion Pernell Whitaker will fight former junior lightweight champion Roger Mayweather for the vacant North American Boxing Federation lightweight championship March 28 at the Scope arena in Norfolk, Va.
Whitaker won a gold medal in the 1984 Olympics and is 11-0 with seven knockouts as a professional.
