Ariz. State Official Admits Shoplifting $385 Worth of Shirts

PHOENIX, — An assistant state attorney general faces up to six months in jail after pleading guilty to theft in the shoplifting of $385 worth of shirts.
Richard Alan Alcorn, 34, of Tempe pleaded guilty and agreed to reimburse the store as part of an agreement that made the charge a misdemeanor, which means he does not face disbarment.
He also could receive a $1,370 fine when he is sentenced next month.
Alcorn was charged with burglary and theft after he entered a store and took $385 worth of Pendleton shirts. Police said Alcorn began tossing the shirts out of his car when he saw he was being pursued.
