A 2-year-old Lancaster boy shot and wounded himself in the chest Wednesday after finding his father’s .38-caliber revolver under the seat of the family car, sheriff’s deputies said.
Nick Dillenbeck was hospitalized in stable condition and probably will be released today, officers said.
The father, Robert M. Dillenbeck, 26, a security guard, had just returned home from a weapons qualification session and carried some items into the house when he heard a shot, deputies said.
