CSUN Eases Up for CCAA Swim Meet
The Cal State Northridge men’s swim team will enter the California Collegiate Athletic Assn. swim championships at Cal State Bakersfield today untapered, unshaven and fully expecting to be soundly defeated by the home school.
The reason: Coach Pete Accardy wants his team in top shape for the Division II national championships in two weeks.
Bakersfield swimmers, meanwhile, have tapered their workouts and will shave for the meet.
The Northridge women’s team will be favored to win its third straight CCAA title, despite being unshaven and tapered.
