The Robert Wood Johnson Foundation has awarded $718,280 to the UCLA School of Nursing to support its program of providing health care to the homeless.
The funds will allow the school to continue providing services to the homeless at the Union Rescue Mission in downtown Los Angeles. The award also will help pay for training shelter workers and providing health care to low-income, unemployed and homeless people at the Venice Family Clinic, which serves more than 20,000 people a year.
