The identity of a man found stabbed to death in Cypress remained a mystery Thursday.
Police Lt. Robert Bandurraga said his department received a call at about 10:30 p.m. Wednesday about a “man down” on the railroad right of way on Orange Avenue, east of Juanita Street.
“All we know is that he is an unidentified male Latino, 20 to 30 years old,” said Bandurraga. “He had a stab wound on the right side of his chest. It looked like the stabbing occurred there (on the railroad property). There was no (identification) on him whatsoever.”
Police said a passer-by found the body in tall grass.
Bandurraga said investigators were checking the area for evidence and were running fingerprint checks.
