According to the miniseries “Amerika,” the United States under Soviet occupation would mean hungry, homeless, jobless citizens living in tents; farmers losing their land and forbidden to grow crops; dissenters going to jail for standing up for what they believe in; and politicians making national decisions without informing the public.
What’s the controversy? Sounds like life as usual to me.
