A Downey police officer has established a trust fund for the two daughters of a woman who was fatally wounded at her Imperial Highway home.
Officer Steve Monroe was a friend of the victim, Patricia Pauline Wilson, 31. Wilson’s daughters Christina Matteson, 11, and Georgina, 5, are being cared for by their grandparents in La Puente, Monroe said.
Wilson died Feb. 1 of a single shotgun blast to the abdomen, police said. Duane Chatlain, 38, who lived with Wilson, has been charged with murder.
Those who wish to contribute can contact Monroe through the First Interstate Bank, 175 E. Badillo Ave., Covina 91723.
