A spokesman for pitcher Roger Clemens said that sitting out the 1987 season is an option being “seriously considered” by the 1986 American League MVP and Cy Young Award winner.
Randy Hendricks described Clemens as “determined, disappointed and insulted.”
Hendricks also fired back at the Red Sox’s threat of a $1,000 daily fine daily starting today unless Clemens ends his walkout.
“Starting Wednesday our offer to the Red Sox will increase by $1,500 a day,” the Houston agent said.
