Stepson Arrested in Fatal Stabbing

A Chula Vista man was stabbed to death Sunday afternoon after an argument in front of an apartment complex in the 1200 block of 5th Avenue in Chula Vista, police said.
Donald Ray Karstetter, 41, was pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics, according to police spokesman Lt. Jack Turner.
Karstetter’s stepson, Darryl Wayne Oak, 26, was arrested in connection with the death. Oak was taken into custody by U.S. Border Patrol agents who witnessed an altercation between two men in the apartment building’s parking lot. He is being held in the downtown County Jail.
