ClothesTime Income for Fiscal 1987 Increases 19%

ClothesTime Inc., the Anaheim-based operator of women’s discount apparel stores, reported net income of $11.9 million for its fiscal 1987, up 19% from $10 million the previous year.

ClothesTime, which operates 272 stores in 14 states, said sales for the year ended Jan. 31 were $160.3 million, up 27% from $126.5 million a year earlier.

For the fourth quarter, ClothesTime’s net income of $1.7 million was up 21% from $1.4 million for the comparable period in its fiscal 1986. Sales for the quarter were $42.2 million, up 47% from $28.8 million.
