Chalmers Heads Field at UCI Track Meet

Angela Chalmers of Northern Arizona, the 1986 NCAA cross-country champion, leads a field of four men’s and women’s college track teams competing today at UC Irvine’s Anteater Stadium.

Cal State Long Beach, Brown University and UC Irvine also will compete. Field events begin at 11:30 a.m.; the first running event is at 1:15 p.m.

Debbie Orr, who attended Ocean View High School, will compete in the high jump and triple jump for Northern Arizona.

The Northern Arizona men’s team finished 10th in the 1986 NCAA championships, and the UCI men finished 11th.
