Mammoth Spring, Ark.--Tess Harper’s hometown--will throw a big Oscar-watching shindig to root for its favorite daughter. Today, by order of Mammoth Spring Mayor Jean Pace, is “Tess Harper Day” in honor of the actress, up for a best-supporting-actress award for her performance in “Crimes of the Heart.” Harper, of course, won’t be there; she’ll be at the Oscar ceremony in the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion, waiting . . . .
