Washington’s new $17-million National Museum of Women in the Arts opens officially on Tuesday with an inaugural exhibition titled “American Women Artists 1830-1930.” The museum is dedicated to women artists generally forgotten by the nation’s major museums and galleries. The inaugural exhibition includes the works by Georgia O’Keeffe and Mary Cassatt.
