ORANGE COUNTY PREP BASEBALL : Edison’s Carpenter Pitches No-Hitter, Her Third, to Defeat Westminster, 5-0

Junior Terry Carpenter pitched her third no-hitter of the season as Edison High School defeated Westminster, 5-0, Friday in a Sunset League softball game at Edison.
Carpenter (12-2), a junior right-hander, walked two. Edison is 2-0 and 13-3.
In other Sunset League play:
Fountain Valley 1, Huntington Beach 0--Jackie Blake walked a batter with two outs in the seventh to lose her perfect game but still pitched a no-hitter.
In the Pacific Coast League:
Woodbridge 11, Costa Mesa 0--Lisa Wesren pitched a no-hitter, with the only baserunner reaching on an error in the third. Susan Spring was 4 for 4 with three singles, a double, and three runs scored for the Warriors (2-0, 7-3).
