Parking Rates at County Airport

I think it’s outrageous that parking rates at Orange County Airport’s long-term lot on Main Street have been raised to $5 per day, especially when Lot B at Los Angeles International Airport is only $3 per day.
Perhaps the purpose was to produce more income, but the lot is nearly emply now. Raising the rates will only encourage more people to have a friend or relative drop them off rather than pay such exorbitant fees. This will also probably increase traffic congestion in the terminal area.
Maybe the commission responsible for setting parking lot rates should take another look at the fee schedule for the Main Street lot.
