UCI Has Big Day in Ojai Tennis Tournament

Dina Trenwith and Haruko Shigekawa of UC Irvine defeated Lori Ralph and Tina Truesdale of Biola, 6-1, 6-0, inthe opening round of the Ojai tennis tournament Thursday at Ojai.
UC Irvine’s Uma Rao won two matches, defeating Wendy Elliott of Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, 6-4, 6-2, and Jeanine Scalero of Cal State Fullerton, 6-1, 6-0.
Stephanie Rhorer of UCI defeated Liz Costa of UC Santa Barbara, 6-1, 0-6, 6-4, and Courtney Weichsel of Irvine defeated Susan Norman of Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, 6-1, 6-3.
UC Irvine (15-15) continues third and fourth-round play today at 10 a.m.
