‘PLATINO’

Barrios is apparently unaware that one of the leading actors in the film is Latino . . . Charles Sheen, son of Martin (Estevez) Sheen, brother of Emilio Estevez.
But if any ethnic group is being completely denied their place in history, especially in almost all movies and books on the subject of World Wars I and II, Korea and Vietnam, it is the American Indian soldier.
It is interesting that Barrios’ comments include the blacks and Asians, but he chooses to overlook American Indians. The need to feel pride in our contributions to this country is as important to our self-image as it is to any other group of people.
