Patriots to Play Giants in First Exhibition Game

FOXBORO, Mass. — New England opens its four-game exhibition schedule Aug. 16 at home against the NFL champion New York Giants.
All four games will be against NFC teams and, for the first time since 1984, more than one will be in Sullivan Stadium.
The Patriots play host to the Philadelphia Eagles Aug. 23, then visit the Minnesota Vikings Aug. 29 before winding up against the Atlanta Falcons in Jacksonville, Fla., Sept. 4.
New England’s first regular-season game will be at home Sept. 13 against the Miami Dolphins.
