Chapman College will dedicate the Shanley Choral Room in honor of benefactors John F. and Laura S. Shanley on May 3.
John Shanley was a member of the Chapman College Board of Governors from 1964 until 1967 and served as a member of the Board of Trustees from 1967 until his death in 1980.
In 1974, the couple donated a large pipe organ for the college’s auditorium and in 1980 established the John and Laura Shanley Endowed Scholarship.
The dedication of the choral room will occur during a dinner sponsored by the Chapman College Music Associates.
