When I was a child in Chicago many years ago, the spring school break was known throughout the city as “Clean-Up, Fix-It Week.” Wouldn’t it be nice if the students with energy to burn who go to Palm Springs for a week of merriment, instead turned that energy to providing much needed painting, cleaning and fixing services to the homes of the poor, the elderly and the handicapped?
How about it, guys and gals?
