Fawcett Named All-State Golfer

Saddleback’s Ray Fawcett’s fifth-place finish at 147 in the Wilson-California Community College Golf Championships, which ended Monday, qualified him as a member of the all-state team.

Bob Burns of L.A. Mission won the tournament, at Ft. Washington Golf Course in Fresno, with a score of 140. Monterey Peninsula took the team title, upsetting favored Long Beach City, 765-768. Saddleback finished fourth at 786.
