Hart’s Withdrawal From the Presidential Campaign
- Share via
The sanctimony of the popular press and television in the matter of Gary Hart is sickening. Suddenly we are to take account of the character and judgment of those aspiring to high office. Where were the media when the Teflon President, whom they created, revealed himself time and again to be self-deceiving and deceitful, dissembling, in short to be without character and judgment? All the media seem able to do are serve up sexual circuses, when the real problems of our time, arising out of the criminal greed, stupidity and the indifference of the present Administration in Washington, cry out for attention.
