Respect for Teachers

In response to the Al Martinez column “A Tale of Two Teachers” (April 23) I would have to comment that the teaching profession has never been given the respect or the consideration that it merits.
Some of the blame for the lack of respect in the classroom may be blamed on the students, but it’s only part of the problem.
