PLO Leaders Demand Peace Conference Role

TUNIS, Tunisia — The Palestine Liberation Organization leadership says it must take part in any Middle East peace conference and has drafted a statement opposing any plan to exclude it, a PLO spokesman said Sunday.
PLO officials said the statement was a clear reference to press reports about an alleged accord between Israel and Jordan on convening a conference.
