Fullerton : Police Look for Woman Who Wandered Away
- Share via
Fullerton police have issued an appeal for information on the whereabouts of a 28-year-old woman suffering from mental disorders who apparently walked away from her home May 7 and has not been seen since.
Police identified the woman as Abigail Cleopatrick Cummins, more commonly known as Gail. They described her as a 5-foot, 9-inch, 135-pound black woman with a short Afro haircut who may be barefoot.
Officers said the woman has a history of treatment for mental illness and has not taken her prescribed medication since her disappearance.
They said she at times is withdrawn and noncommunicative, but “if she is physically manhandled, she may become violent.”
The woman has “an abnormally large appetite for food,” which, if she is wandering the streets, may lead her to parklike settings where people picnic, officers said.
Police asked anyone encountering the woman to contact the Fullerton Police Department.
