A Costa Mesa man, who may have suffered a heart attack, died after his car collided with another vehicle waiting to pull into traffic on Harbor Boulevard early Saturday, police said.
The driver of the first car was dead on arrival at Fountain Valley Regional Trauma Center, Santa Ana Police Lt. Jack Nelson said. His name was withheld until relatives could be notified.
“It appears that he may have had a heart attack,” Nelson said. It was unknown Saturday whether he died from that or injuries suffered in the crash.
A passenger in the other vehicle, Lea Sio, 27, suffered minor facial cuts.
The collision occurred at 7:10 a.m. in the 600 block of South Harbor Boulevard when the first driver swerved across traffic lanes and struck the second car.
