A 5-year-old boy was in critical condition after he became pinned in an electronic gate in Stanton, authorities said. Stanton police said they responded to the area of 8000 Bever Place about 6:30 p.m. and found Christopher Hilsauelch of Stanton pinned by the gate. Paramedics were summoned, and the child was airlifted to UCIMedical Center in Orange. Police did not say how the boy became trapped.
