AMMAN, Jordan — Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak arrived Wednesday for an unannounced visit with King Hussein, state-owned Amman radio said.
The radio said that Mubarak, who was welcomed by Hussein and other Jordanian officials at the Amman airport, was accompanied by Egyptian Defense Minister Abdel-Halim abu Ghazala, Information Minister Safwat Sharif and Osama Baz, presidential counselor.
The broadcast gave no further details, but political sources said that developments in Lebanon after the assassination of Premier Rashid Karami were likely to be high on the two leaders’ agenda. It was Mubarak’s second meeting in less than a month with Hussein.
