NBC OPTS FOR LIVE COVERAGE OF HALL

NBC joined the Cable News Network and some PBS stations in providing live coverage of Fawn Hall’s testimony Monday to the joint congressional committee investigating the Iran- contra affair.
ABC and CBS opted to broadcast their regularly scheduled entertainment programming instead of the testimony of Lt. Col. Oliver North’s former secretary. But NBC returned to its regular schedule just as Hall began discussing the shredding of documents.
