A man has been arrested on suspicion of kidnaping a 16-year-old Fountain Valley girl who managed to escape her abductor, police said Monday.
Lt. Mike Hanrahan said the kidnaping occurred on Thursday at 7:20 a.m. as the girl was walking in the vicinity of Euclid and Edinger streets. A man in a blue vehicle drove up and forced the girl into the car, Hanrahan said.
After driving the girl to Garden Grove, he attempted to sexually molest her, Hanrahan said, but the girl managed to flee and call police. Based on a description of the vehicle, police on Saturday arrested a suspect, identified as Michael John Isenor, 20, of Fountain Valley.
Hanrahan said that Isenor has been booked into the Orange County Jail on suspicion of kidnaping.
