The only jet fuel pipeline at San Francisco International Airport was shut down after a power generator failed, bringing airport operations to a standstill and stranding passengers for up to three hours Tuesday. Some flights were diverted to other cities and still other San Francisco-bound flights were ordered to remain on the ground in other cities until they were assured of landing and parking space. Operations were expected to be back to normal today.
