NBC News anchor Tom Brokaw will add the job of chief of correspondents to his current duties under a reorganization plan unveiled this week by Lawrence K. Grossman, the news division’s president. The plan, the result of a months-long efficiency analysis by an outside consulting firm, contained no big shakeups. But in a memorandum, division president Lawrence K. Grossman did say that task forces would study “appropriate staffing levels” in the division’s domestic and overseas operations and consider location and size of bureaus.
