HAIR HEADS

It’s disappointing to see the Calendar section devote an article to a woman who thinks hair is what a musician needs to make it in the rock world today (Pop Eye, by Patrick Goldstein, June 14).
And it is sadder still to think heavy-metal headhunter Lucy Forbes can goad a talented musician into purchasing a wig because she says it will increase his chances of getting work.
As a devoted clubgoer in L.A., I would like to state that it is the music, not the hair that attracts the fans.
Forbes hasn’t got both her oars in the water if she ranks talent as the last prerequisite for stardom.
