I can’t believe anyone could seriously stick up for the lyrics of a band like Motley Crue (Letters Annex, June 14).
If someone wants to hear a band with lyrics about topics like politics and racism, I would suggest the ultimate anti-racist band, M.D.C.
Besides having 10 times the speed and power of any Top 40 metal band, they have good lyrics about subjects like animal rights, greed, the threat of nuclear war, Nazis, rednecks and so on.
There is none of the stupid shout-at-the-devil mentality. There are other things going on out there besides what’s on MTV.
