Having been a James Bond freak and a confirmed addict of “Mission: Impossible,” I can’t figure out why I find “MacGyver” completely boring. MacGyver seems to be such a bland character who is much too unglamorous for an adventure show. The devices and gimmicks that he improvises are clever, but on the other hand, the show is just screaming for some high-tech. And then the de-emphasis on beautiful women bugs me even more.
