Mexico Earned Extra $1 Billion on Oil Sales

MEXICO CITY — Mexico earned $1 billion more than expected from oil sales in the first half of the year as a result of increased world prices, Deputy Energy Minister Jose Luis Alcudia reported over the weekend.
Alcudia said total oil sales for the first six months of the year were $3.9 billion, or $1 billion more than had been expected when analysts forecast a price of $12 per barrel.
