Soviet officials in Vladivostok have opened an exhibition of art objects that customs
officers seized from would-be smugglers, the Soviet news agency Tass reported. Vladivostok customs official Boris Storozhevykh told the news agency, “We are witnessing an increased flow of films, video and audio recordings, printed matter and photographs banned for export to the Soviet Union, and the exhibit shows only a part of this.” Tass said about 4,000 valuable coins and articles made of silver and gold were on display in the Vladivostok Cultural Museum.
