Sperry & Hutchinson is closing or converting into mail-order houses almost all of its redemption centers in 15 western, northwestern and New England states, S&H; President and Chief Executive William F. Penwell said. Southern California’s last gift center, in Southgate, will close July 3. Area residents then will have to mail their trading stamps to Hillside, Ill., for prizes.
